Good Value for Money Hotel

Stay Date: 01/12/14, a customer aged 45-64 from United Kingdom who stayed at 3* Royal National Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

Our first time at the Royal National. Good value for money hotel but spoiled by noisy groups of girls and young women coming in drunk and running around the corridors early in the morning. Room was See More  Read more information fine, clean and newly refurbished but one of the beds had a very lumpy mattress. Breakfast was included in our break and had a good choice of cereals and a reasonable cooked breakfast. Staff onreception were not terribly helpful on reception. A bit indifferent. However, concierge helped flag down a taxi when we were going to a theatre. Hotel is in a good position for buses to Oxford St andTrafalgar square. Also lots of of places to eat in and just outside the hotel. Close to the British museum and a nice little park close by. Would go again if looking for a cheap break.   Collapse  Hide

Theatre break

Stay Date: 03/01/15, a customer aged 65+ from Lincoln who stayed at 3* Tavistock Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

The Hotel is rather tired. Room was rather basic. Separate bathroom and toilet, both very small. Beds not very comfortable but adequate. Very poor supply of tea, coffee. No hairdryer in room. See More  Read more information Excellent lunch in the wine bar, but breakfast in the restaurant was a bit disappointing, the bacon and sausages were clearly poor quality, and the bread for the toast was quite stale. Needs Re-grading

Stay Date: 09/01/15, a customer aged 45-64 from Pontefract who stayed at 3* Queens Park Hotel in Bayswater wrote this review.

No bar, no restaurant, no leisure facilities. Breakfast chaotic. Reception staff excellent - could not have been more helpful. Our initial room measured two metres (max) by five metres and that See More  Read more information included a double bed, wardrobe and bathroom. Not enough room to swing a rat, never mind a cat. Reception moved us to a slightly bigger room, but in basement so no natural light. In no way is this now athree star hotel. Location fine and Champion pub towards Notting Hill Gate very good. Very close to tube stations on Central Line - unfortunately line was closed during our stay but buses veryfrequent.   Collapse  Hide
