Nice Break in Nottingham

Stay Date: 30/12/12, a customer aged 25-44 from London who stayed at 2* Britannia Nottingham Hotel New Year Break in Nottingham wrote this review.

We spent 3 days in Nottingham for New Year. The first 2 days the weather was horrendous, very cold, windy and pouring down!! Luckily New Year's day was sunny and we could take better pictures. Shame See More  Read more information the Castle was closed for the whole season so we couldn't visit the Museum but we had nice strolls as the size of the city is brilliant!! The Britannia hotel is in superb location as you can reachdown town in less than 10 min. The food was good and plenty but the air conditioner wasn't working across the whole hotel so no heating and the room was cold. When I asked for extra sheets at the frontdesk nobody came. We also reported that the heated towel rails in the bathroom weren't working and we were told that they had been switched off for everybody as they were updating the gasinstallation. Didn't anybody think that leaving the guests with no means to warm up the rooms was a bad idea? Needless to say that being in December doesn't help a big deal!! Anyway, other than that, we had agood time over there.   Collapse  Hide

London Short Break

Stay Date: 17/01/13, a customer aged 45-64 from Stafford who stayed at 3* Queens Park Hotel in Bayswater wrote this review.

6 days in London to visit sights and see some shows - Top Hat excellent, Singin' in the Rain superb, Cabaret very good (but not quite as good as previous production), and Old Times disappointing. 3 See More  Read more information Palace pass for Historic Royal Palaces is good value and convenient. Directions to Queens Park Hotel were misleading - much easier and quicker to approach hotel from Queensway underground station fromthe South end of Queensborough Terrace. Queens Park Hotel is well situated and good value. The room was OK but quite cramped and the ensuite bathroom smelled heavily of cigarette smoke - should havesmoke alarms in bathrooms as well as bedrooms.   Collapse  Hide
