Wedding anniversary in the Lakes

Stay Date: 12/09/14, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 4* Beech Hill Hotel Non Refundable (2 Night Offer & 1st Night Dinner) in Windermere wrote this review.

As we went to our room staff were cleaning other rooms...this happens, fine....but the piles of sheets along the corridor were NOT a welcome site. Surely one pile or even a work station would have See More  Read more information done. On a lighter note, the restaurant staff were lovely as was the food, so much so we ate there two nights. The room was clean , tidy and comfortable and the view was very good. To be able tosit on the terrace late afternoon having a drink with the superb view of the lake was brilliant. Overall a wonderful two night break.   Collapse  Hide

4 days in London

Stay Date: 11/09/14, a customer aged 45-64 from United Kingdom who stayed at 4* Mercure London Bloomsbury in Bloomsbury wrote this review.

The Mercure at Bloomsberry is a first class hotel spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, rooms are quite small but adequate and have everything you will need for a stay. Staff are very helpful and See More  Read more information always pleasant. Very close to all attractions which can be accessed easily on foot. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will return again when visiting London.   Collapse  Hide

You get what you pay for. First all the positives. Short walk from Euston station. We were able to check in early. We could leave our luggage till late on check out day in a secure room. Staff very See More  Read more information nice. Good hot breakfast. On the negative side the shared bathroom was dirty when we arrived. There was no cold water running in the room. The room was very shabby, stale smelling and didn't feelclean. Wouldn't stay more than one night there.   Collapse  Hide

Lovely Staff

Stay Date: 26/09/14, a customer aged 65+ from Matlock who stayed at 3* Travelodge London Whetstone Hotel in Whetstone wrote this review.

We like Travelodge hotels and use them quite often but were particularly impressed by the staff at Whetstone. Without exception they were really cheerful, happy and helpful and when we praised a See More  Read more information member of the breakfast staff she immediately pointed out that the staff in the kitchen also deserved their share of praise because they'd cooked the breakfast! There was a bit of a crisis on the Sundaymorning when it was discovered that the entire hotel had no water, but the staff dealt with it calmly, efficiently and never stopped smiling. Top marks to them all.   Collapse  Hide

Quality Hotel!

Stay Date: 26/09/14, a customer aged 65+ who stayed at 3* Quality Hotel Peterborough (2 Night Offer & 1st Night Dinner) in Peterborough wrote this review.

Quality Inn is the title but far from a Quality Inn. Breakfast cooked items standing in an inch of liquid, not at all appetising. Bread for toasting still in loaf wrappers, not ideal. Our dinner on See More  Read more information the evening was a mixed grill and a not very appetising Pizza. Lamb chop and steak barely edible, really glad that we had not booked 2 nights dinner. So much could be improved here with a littleeffort, and that also includes teaching the staff to be more attentive in the restaurant in particular. Once you were seated and order taken, food delivered, nobody was seen to check all is well. A verydisappointing weekend that shouldn't have had the issues. The setting here is great but poor quality of service/catering lets it down badly.   Collapse  Hide

Graduation

Stay Date: 25/09/14, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 4* Mercure Manchester Piccadilly in Manchester wrote this review.

We stayed at this hotel where my daughter's graduation was held. The location was very central and good for shopping, eating out etc. The transport links were excellent with a free metro shuttle See More  Read more information from the train station to the hotel and numerous trams and buses. The hotel breakfast was plentiful. The only criticism was the hotel staff were a bit disorganised and on both mornings forgot to deliverour newspaper, and on the last morning we were woken by the cleaner knocking on the door at 8.15 am!   Collapse  Hide

Holiday Inn Rochester experience

Stay Date: 27/09/14, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 4* Holiday Inn Rochester - Chatham in Rochester wrote this review.

The hotel is placed well for us to visit family. The reception area is modern and welcoming but the rooms are somewhat tired. The water pressure in the shower was very, very low. As we were only See More  Read more information staying one night on this visit we didn't make a fuss. The breakfast is usually excellent but on this visit the sausages were extremely overcooked and other items were dry. However, the tea waswonderful.   Collapse  Hide
