Birthday Weekend in London

Stay Date: 17/05/08, a customer from Ware who stayed at 4* Radisson Blu Edwardian, Kenilworth in Bloomsbury wrote this review.

Tate Modern was, shall I say, "interesting". Not exactly our taste in art but it has to be seen to be believed. Huge venue, poorly signposted but it's free! (Except for the special See More  Read more information exhibitions.) The Radisson Edwardian Hotel, Great Russell Street is in a good location for central London - not too noisy at night with traffic. Generally comfortable though barely 4 star in my opinion. Saturdaybreakfast was excellent. However Sunday was a different story, long queues to be seated, lack of staff to clear tables, food wasn't coming quick enough for the demand so guests complaining. Also a problemwith water supply in rooms Sunday morning. No apologies or explanations offered for these failings. I was disappointed in it for a 4 star establishment. Jersey Boys - Could not fault this show. Itwas energetic, slick and highly professional, everything you would expect from a West End production.   Collapse  Hide

The Mercure Shakespeare Hotel

Stay Date: 20/05/08, a customer who stayed at 4* Mercure Stratford-upon-Avon Shakespeare Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon wrote this review.

The modern design that the Mercure have completed within the public bar area will transform the rest of this hotel. Currently everything is in good condition but will become even better. The rooms See More  Read more information benefit from the air cooling and the quiet nature of this historical building has a great feel. Many of the corridors and rooms give a great feel of bygone times - but the Shakespeare is really up todate in a great central location.   Collapse  Hide

St Giles Hotel and Never Forget

Stay Date: 22/05/08, a customer from Superbreak who stayed at 3* St Giles London - A St Giles Hotel in Oxford Street wrote this review.

The St Giles is a huge hotel with compact clean rooms in a stunning location. It takes two minutes to walk onto Oxford Street, and I found the camera and Hi Fi shops on Tottenham Court Road to be See More  Read more information very tempting. Reception was swift despite queues and check out this morning was easy. Breakfast was a lifesaver after quite a late session at the fabulous opening night of Never Forget at The SavoyTheatre. London needs more three star hotels like this. I think it offers tremendous value for money.   Collapse  Hide
