One hiccup

Stay Date: 03/12/16, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 4* Hilton London Kensington in Kensington wrote this review.

Overall our weekend was very good, from the reserved seats on a packed train to mastering the underground in a group of 12, to braving the crowds everywhere. The only hiccup was the service in the See More  Read more information restaurant at the hotel in the evening, waiting over an hour for food after prompting staff several times. This resulted in the intervention of the manager and a full refund for the meal received. Alsoone room had been double booked however this was satisfactorily dealt with by reception staff.   Collapse  Hide

2 day course

Stay Date: 05/12/16, a customer aged 45-64 from United Kingdom who stayed at 4* De Vere Horwood Estate (2 Night BB Offer) in Milton Keynes wrote this review.

Hotel about £10 taxi ride from train station, set in beautiful grounds. Friendly welcome at Reception and given map of hotel. Had read other reviews about the confusing layout, however it is so well See More  Read more information signposted I did not have any difficulties. Nice big room in new part of hotel, however this meant that the walls were thin and I could hear my neighbour's TV until the early hours of the morning. Also the doors need door closers as they slam shut and cause vibrations. This being said, most of this was due to residents being inconsiderate and not the fault of the hotel. Bed was very comfortablewith a memory foam cover and nice cotton linen. The gym was a good size and appropriate and the swimming pool was lovely and warm. Towels are provided and shower gel in the changing room showers. I atein the bar two nights running and although a little expensive for bar food (main was £13 and dessert £6, glass of coke £3.50 - I was only allowed £25 per night including drinks) the food wasdelicious and served quickly. Also the breakfast and lunch, which was buffet style, had many choices, especially for me, a fussy eater, and was very good.   Collapse  Hide

Situated on Lake Windermere, walking to the bottom of the grounds to the lake is possibly where you will find the best views. Great weekend at Stratford

Stay Date: 02/12/16, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 4* Ettington Chase (2 Night Offer & 1st Night Dinner) in Ettington (Nr Stratford-upon-Avon) wrote this review.

Hotel location was great, only a few minutes drive to the centre of Stratford. Hotel room was okay except was very cold and noisy, could hear everybody's toilets. We asked for the heating to be See More  Read more information turned on which it eventually was. Restaurant for evening meals was excellent for both nights we ate there. Restaurant for breakfast was a different matter. Bit of a bun fight, no bacon, mushrooms orbeans, just empty trays. We asked for the pastry section to be filled up as this was also empty, the staff brought out 6 croissants! Also frozen bread was brought out for the toast. We spoke to therestaurant manager who was not the slightest bit interested. Suggest if you want to visit Stratford-upon-Avon you use a different hotel.   Collapse  Hide

Rooms were lovely and clean and accessories were really nice. E.g popcorn & small bottles of water. Staff were polite and courteous. A shame pool was not available but had access to pool at Holiday See More  Read more information Inn. But only on one day as they were getting a new steam room. Food was good and well presented, although we had a long wait on one evening for dinner. It took too long between courses.
