Overnight Get Away

Stay Date: 08/01/12, a customer who stayed at 2* Scarisbrick Hotel in Southport wrote this review.

We booked this hotel and then read the reviews so were a little concerned. However the room was a great size, large wardrobe, dressing table, chairs and a table. Bathroom was a good size too. All of See More  Read more information the heating was on when we arrived so the room had been aired and lovely and warm throughout our stay on a cold january day. Ok the curtains/duvet/wallpaper were of a floral design which is horrificbut i assume we were put in an older room with us paying for a budget stay sort of thing. The breakfast in the morning was a buffet style with plenty to chose from and all the cutlery and crockery wasof a high standard and spotlessly clean so no complaints there. It was well worth the money we paid and even a little more.   Collapse  Hide

Stayed at this hotel a few years before and were See More  Read more information pleased that it was even better than remembered. Access to London attractions good by foot or underground. We like to walk whenever possible and get the general feel of an area. We were particularlystruck this time by the cleanliness of the city and the politeness of everyone we were involved with.   Collapse  Hide

Lion King London Trip

Stay Date: 08/01/12, a customer who stayed at 3* Royal National Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

Took our daughter and 3 grandchildren to London to see the lion king for their christmas treat. The train trip down was brilliant just over 2 hrs from Liverpool. Arrived at hotel about 12.45 but See More  Read more information could not book in until 2pm so went to find some lunch. Rooms were basic but clean. Third bed was a put up bed on wheels and it was a double and a single unlike pics which showed 3 singles. Breakfast wasa bit canteenish with lots of people trying to find space to sit but food was ok. Hotel was close to underground or only 15 mins walk from covent garden. London eye good at night, lion king wasfabulous, m and m world was great but took the kids to ripleys amazing experience on the sunday. Cost over £100 and it was pants! was only in there for 2 hrs at most and it was all walking around readingabout things on the walls and a few fake displays. Travelled back home on 5 o clock train and upgraded to first class but did not think it was worth it.   Collapse  Hide
