2 Days In London

Stay Date: 16/08/11, a customer who stayed at 4* Kingsway Hall in Covent Garden wrote this review.

We booked into kingsway hall hotel first. This hotel is in an ideal location very close to covent garden. The room was very nice (apart from the air con unit which did clonk and make a bit of noise) See More  Read more information we dined at loch fyne restaurant and must say it was the best meal we have ever eaten and service was very good.   Collapse  Hide

Back In Time

Stay Date: 15/08/11, a customer who stayed at 4* The Majestic Hotel (2 Night Offer & 1st Night Dinner) in Harrogate wrote this review.

Harrogate wears its age well, with some fine buildings dating from its heyday as a spa town. However, given its pedigree, we were surprised at the number of bars in the town that needed bouncers on See More  Read more information the door. We were aware of some noise on the saturday night, though the town is pleasantly sedate during the day. There is some fine scenery in the surrounding countryside. The majestic's slightlyfaded glory is in keeping with harrogate, but we enjoyed the spa facilities and had a very good meal on the night we ate in.   Collapse  Hide

London Theatre Break With My Daughter

Stay Date: 18/08/11, a customer who stayed at 3* Days Hotel Waterloo in Waterloo wrote this review.

Brilliant time. Arrived 12 noon tues, taxi to hotel (impressed with our room). Straight out to imperial war museum. Great (very moved by the wonderful holocaust exhibition) and ended with an event See More  Read more information (a presentation about anne frank). A whistle stop pizza in a pub behind the hotel, a brief freshen up, then taxi to "wicked" wanted to see it for ages> didn't let us down. Was superb, especially 2leading ladies. Taxi back to hotel. Sleep. Breakfast good, then out for a walk, taking in main sights. Did a tour bus (bit expensive for what it was) then got day tube passes. Snack in st james park, anda walk to buckingham palace. Tube to baker street, then exciting couple of hours in madam tussards! tube back to hotel. Evening meal in hotel (very nice, and good value!). Slept well! Final morningtube to tower of london which we really enjoyed. Back to hotel for bags, then on to kings cross to home. A fantastic break! i did spend a lot, but it was worth every penny!.   Collapse  Hide

Mini Break In Chester

Stay Date: 17/08/11, a customer from Uk who stayed at 3* Hallmark Inn Chester in Chester wrote this review.

The best western westminster hotel was good once we were given a room change, we were upgraded to the executive grade free of charge, due to the original room being well below standard (badly in See More  Read more information need of complete re-furbishment). Breakfast was a little chaotic but this was due mainly to not enough staff and coach tours staying there at the time, so large numbers to cater for. The best attractionin the city was the cathedral, beautiful, interesting and the audio tour which is free was well worth using. The shopping was good due to a lot of small individual shops you wouldn't find on the highstreet, reminis and the old fashioned sweet shop are well worth a visit. The city wall is a nice way to spend an hour, its about 2 miles long.   Collapse  Hide

I Love London

Stay Date: 18/08/11, a customer from Uk who stayed at 2* County Hotel in Euston wrote this review.

Main reason for trip was the proms at royal albert hall, also sight seeing. County hotel very close to euston station and bus stops so very easy to get around using oyster card. No. 10 bus goes all See More  Read more information the way to albert hall. British museum 10 minutes walk away. Hotel is basic, with shared bathrooms but room is adequate. Breakfast is very good, lots of choice, however staff not paricularly friendlyor welcoming. On the whole a good place to stay for people on a budget, but don't expect luxury.   Collapse  Hide

Good points: triple room, nice sea view, cooked buffet breakfast satisfactory, good selection of tv channels in room, good bathroom, good food in buffet restaurant (victorian) in evening, See More  Read more information decent-size room. Poor points: no croissants at breakfast, watered-down orange juice in both restaurants, limited choice of food in victorian buffet restaurant in evening, two drawers in unit in bedroom comingto pieces, hotel looking a little run-down in places (especially in lifts) - like folkestone itself, in fact! overall satisfactory.
