My family and I had a great time. The hotel was very convenient to the Victoria station which was a real hub for trains, tubes and buses to get around London and to and from Gatwick Airport.The rooms are small but spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are also loads of places to eat in the surrounding area.We were able to see a lot of London in just a couple of days with careful planning, travelling by tube for the experience, the bus to cover long distances and catch sight of things to do next visit, by boat to see things from a different angle and on foot to be able to see the real London.The sights are expensive to enter but are worth it. Careful planning can get you great deals such as 2 for 1 with a Gatwick express ticket. Remember to keep both out and return tickets though!Can't wait to do it again.

Liverpool is the place to go,from sightseeing to restaurants and bars. Weather was fab, we sat at a roof top bar taking in the sites of The Liver Centre,The Mersey and cruise ships coming in. We went and visited both Cathedrals which were very interesting.also they were both in walking distance of The Staybridge Suites where we stayed.This Hotel was brilliant in every way,clean,modern,good view of the Echo Wheel of Liverpool which went on and enjoyed. The Echo Arena was buzzing while we were there on the Wednesday night.We went for an Indian meal and Italian and both were excellent.Also had to do a spot of shopping at The Liverpool One which has everything.Another place we went to see was The Cavern which was good and nice to be able to say we've been and had a pint or two in there.The Cathedrals and the other places we visited can also be got to by the Tour Bus which when you ve paid for your ticket you can use it for 24hrs. All in all a very enjoyable few days will visit again.

Had a great time at theatre break to see Wicked, easily booked. Great time.

We visited Penrith because we had never been before and looked for a hotel not too far out of the centre of town. The hotel was very good, we enjoyed a swim in the spa area before arranging for a taxi into town. We ate in a local pub because we were not looking for a full evening meal at the hotel althougth it looked very nice if you wanted to stay in but we enjoyed the atmosphere of the early evening nightlife then got our taxi back to the hotel (only a short distance).Next morning the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the staff were very courteous and efficient.We would definately go back again.

The staff were great but first room terrible - overlooked machines that went all night, bed terrible. Room was changed straight away but bed was still 'old' in the new room. TV was very old fashioned with a 'snow' picture. In all I thought I could have got a better room at the Travelodge than pay for a deluxe room as what made it deluxe I have no idea.
