Good break, tiny room

Stay Date: 28/10/14, a customer aged 45-64 from Milton Keynes who stayed at 4* Mercure Nottingham City Centre Hotel in Nottingham wrote this review.

We booked a double room but on arrival were given a city pad room, which according to the hotel is one double bed for one person. When we queried it, we were told that this was the room super break See More  Read more information had booked for us. We have much better rooms at other hotels so it was disappointing. We didn't use any other facilities.   Collapse  Hide

London Break

Stay Date: 07/11/14, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 4* Radisson Blu Edwardian, Mercer Street in Covent Garden wrote this review.

The Radison Blu Edwardian is in a fantastic location. Located in Seven Dials, a very interesting area and within walking distance of many major attractions and theatres. The interior of the hotel See More  Read more information seems very new. The staff are very helpful, the breakfast was excellent. The only downside was the size of the room, extremely small, but this is par for the course in London. The first room we weregiven had a tiny double bed and so we asked to change to a twin room, which gave each of us a more comfortable sleep. We would highly recommend this hotel and would have no hesitation returning.   Collapse  Hide

Peterborough stay

Stay Date: 08/11/14, a customer aged 18-24 who stayed at 4* Peterborough Marriott Hotel in Peterborough (Nr) wrote this review.

Room facilities were less than expected, lack of towels, no minibar and the bathroom was in need of a refurbishment. Breakfast was brilliant, although the staff were very picky in relation to See More  Read more information making sure we were entitled to breakfast. Tea and coffee took a while to come and some of the staff appeared unhappy but overall the food was very good. The leisure centre was fantastic and thebeauty therapist was wonderful. Starbucks within the hotel was overpriced in relation to most other stores and bar staff were unsure as to how to make some of the coffees so it took a while. Receptionstaff were also slow on checkout. My stay at the hotel was good and I would return if in the area again.   Collapse  Hide

War Horse stay

Stay Date: 08/11/14, a customer aged 45-64 from Toft Monks who stayed at 3* Best Western London Highbury in Finsbury Park wrote this review.

War Horse is a great show, highly recommend it. Best Western Highbury is ok hotel but a bit far from west end. Upgraded us to apartment which worked out great for us. Tube is great way to get about See More  Read more information but be prepared for lots of walking and stairs. London eye still a great attraction. Imperial war museum is a great place to visit. Saw the poppies but was a bit of a crush so didn't spend as muchtime as maybe would have liked. Found a great pub though called the minories with good food service and atmosphere good way to unwind.   Collapse  Hide

The Rubens is a wonderful hotel for a special break. Rooms are themed and are very comfortable. The hotel is positioned in a great location with main Victoria Station and underground nearby. See More  Read more information There are many restaurants and shops nearby and the hotel is opposite The Mews and Buckingham Palace. Easy walking distance of the Mall, Trafalgar Square and Picadilly. Lovely parks also nearby. The staffat the hotel are superb and you are made to feel special. Highly recommended.   Collapse  Hide

Great stay in London

Stay Date: 25/10/14, a customer aged 45-64 from United Kingdom who stayed at 4* Radisson Blu Edwardian, New Providence Wharf in Canary Wharf wrote this review.

The hotel was of a very high standard and it was obvious that staff were well trained to make sure that visitors were happy with everything. Breakfast was an experience and one of the best I've ever See More  Read more information had in a hotel. The quality of ingredients and choice were wonderful. We were seated in the conservatory overlooking the Thames. The rooms were very comfortable and modern. Although the hotel is notin the centre of London and takes about 30 mins to get to central London on the Light Railway and tube it is well worth a stay. If you wish to spend some time relaxing in contrast to the busyness ofcentral London then this could be the place. The O2 Arena can be seen from the hotel across the river.   Collapse  Hide

Hotel

Stay Date: 08/11/14, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 3* City Continental London Kensington in Earls Court wrote this review.

We asked for a double room and was told that as the hotel is so busy that we had to have a twin room with the beds pushed together. The room itself was tiny it only had room enough for the bed with See More  Read more information hardly any room to walk around the bed. The staff when we walked through reception appeared to be looking at something on the computer which was being played at high volume. Not very professional. Ialso thought breakfast was poor I didn't realise it was an uncooked breakfast and the breakfast room was pretty much unstaffed.   Collapse  Hide

Liddypool Daunder

Stay Date: 10/11/14, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 4* Liverpool Marriott Hotel City Centre in Liverpool wrote this review.

Marriott excellent location 2 minutes from Lime Street Railway station. Good hotel as such, but not really a 4 star, no mini-bar, no fridge and no bed lights for reading which would be the normal in See More  Read more information any 4 star. Staff friendly as is everyone in Liverpool. The city is well underrated and has excellent shopping and endless restaurant choices, all very compact to walk around. Just takes over 10minutes and you can be over the water to Birkenhead at The Wirral by bus, also great shopping and market area. You need at least 3 days to appreciate Liverpool. Have visited it for up to a week on 6occasions. May try another hotel next time as Marriott ok but only for a 3 star and that price band.   Collapse  Hide
