Easter in Preston, Lancs.

Stay Date: 18/04/14, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 4* Samlesbury Hotel in Preston wrote this review.

Great hotel if you don't want to do anything but sit. No recreation facilities at all! Sports facilities closed, pool table gone, bar closed early. Not really child or young person friendly at See More  Read more information the moment. Room was cold, window wouldn't shut and the fan was on all the time. Bed was uncomfortable and the lock fell off the bathroom door. We have stayed in this hotel 3 times in the past when itwas the Preston Swallow, before it was taken over by the Merchants and called the Samlesbury Hotel, it was a lot better then.   Collapse  Hide

Easter weekend in Leominster/Herefordshire

Stay Date: 18/04/14, a customer aged 25-44 from Reading who stayed at 3* Best Western Talbot Hotel in Leominster wrote this review.

The Best Western Talbot hotel is well located in the small market town of Leominster. The hotel offer proved to be very good value for money for the size of the room and the large cooked breakfast See More  Read more information each morning. The hotel bar/pub is also a very traditional looking English pub and a very pleasant place to relax in the evening. The only complaint we could have was that there was noise in the streetthrough the night due to a number of local pubs but this isn't the fault of the hotel. The town is excellently located for exploring Herefordshire which is well worth visiting for picturesquevillages with tudor buildings, Hereford Cathedral and the Mappa Mundi and numerous cider makers within easy reach.   Collapse  Hide

Very satisfactory London stay

Stay Date: 20/04/14, a customer aged 65+ who stayed at 3* Royal National Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

The hotel is well-placed for bus routes and close to Kings Cross, Oxford Street and British Museum. We asked for a quiet room and stayed on the 7th floor, very good. Although the Royal National See More  Read more information is an enormous hotel thronging with tourist coach trips, it is a very efficient operation. Breakfasts offer a good choice of continental and full English and the whole operation runs like clockwork. The catering staff are efficient, if impersonal, while reception are very helpful. The China City restaurant was a revelation, offering great service and a refreshing range of dishes which were a stepup from the usual.   Collapse  Hide
