Earls Court & Hammersmith Holiday Reviews

Hammersmith, Earls Court & Hammersmith

Handily located for many of London’s top attractions, our hotels near Earls Court are ideal for visiting West London. From the trendy shopping boutiques of Kensington to the exciting events at the Hammersmith Apollo and exhibitions at Earls Court itself, the area has something for everyone. The famous shopping of Oxford Street, the glittering West End theatre scene and London’s vibrant Southbank are all also just a short tube ride away.

Our Earls Court hotels are also superbly positioned when you’re off to see some of London’s best sporting events too; whether it’s the tennis at Queens Club, the horse trials at Olympia or football at Chelsea, Fulham or Queen’s Park Rangers, this is precisely the area you’ll want to be in. Served by four different underground lines, with Hammersmith Tube Station close by you’ll have London at your feet.

  • Reputedly the oldest riverside pub in London, don’t miss heading down to The Dove for a nightcap by the Thames.
  • For a night of stellar entertainment, look no further than the Lyric Theatre – one of London’s best outside the West End – or head to the Hammersmith Apollo for the best in live music and stand-up comedy.
  • Be sure to explore the area surrounding Hammersmith and Earls Court and visit nearby Kensington, Fulham, Shepherd’s Bush and Chiswick.

Brilliant Show

Stay Date: 20/02/13, a customer aged 25-44 from Sunderland who stayed at 2* Hotel Lily in Earls Court wrote this review.

We went to London to see the musical Wicked. I can't recommend this show highly enough. It was amazing. We stayed at the Hotel Lily which was in West Brompton, opposite Earls Court. The room was See More  Read more information very basic with no tv or hair dryer ( which was advertised) and no double glazed windows which meant you could hear the passing traffic and revellers outside. Trying to get to sleep was a nightmare.Breakfast was included on the price of stay. The only choice you had was if you wanted tea or coffee, everything else was served to you. Orange juice, two slices of toast and a breakfast of bacon, sausage, fried egg and beans. There was no choice of cereal or continental option   Collapse  Hide

First Time in London

Stay Date: 13/02/13, a customer aged 25-44 from Brough who stayed at 3* Kensington Court Hotel in Earls Court wrote this review.

Train journey straight forward, tube OK & used day pass to get around both days. Short walk to hotel. Staff friendly & hotel room clean but a bit too warm for our liking. Breakfast good and staff See More  Read more information very helpful. Both restaurants we used near the hotel are recommended Zizzi & Gourmet Burger Kitchen. The Duck tour was fantastic, as too was the London Eye.   Collapse  Hide

Great Trip Poor Hotel

Stay Date: 08/02/13, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 2* Hotel Lily in Earls Court wrote this review.

Hotel room was not very clean. Not much room to move about. No remote control for TV. Sheets and bed covers not brilliant. Carpet felt dirty. When we first checked in we were given a room that See More  Read more information hadn't been cleaned. Had to be moved to a different room which wasn't much better. Staff at reception didn't seem to be that bothered at the mistake. The staff at breakfast however were very friendly. Thehotel was the most disappointing aspect of the trip which otherwise was great.   Collapse  Hide

The train was over booked. I could not reserve a seat therefore it was obvious the train would be busy. Why did East Coast not put on extra carriages? See More  Read more information   Collapse  Hide

Hotel Lily

Stay Date: 04/06/12, a customer from Uk who stayed at 2* Hotel Lily in Earls Court wrote this review.

Facilities need some sprucing up. Mould on toilet ceiling, carpets threadbare and in need of a good clean. Window fittings worn, hence not a good seal to block out traffic noise from busy main See More  Read more information street. Local on-street parking signs confusing and hence very easy to get a parking ticket. On plus side, easy access to underground.   Collapse  Hide

Two Day Break In London

Stay Date: 13/04/12, a customer from Uk who stayed at 4* Novotel London West in Hammersmith wrote this review.

Stayed at the novotel in hammersmith, stayed here last july, loved it that we decided to stay here again, staff helpfull, friendly. Breakfast brilliant, great variety. Location brilliant right near See More  Read more information bus station and tube station. Also shopping centre within tube and bus station. Also more shops just over road in big shopping centre. Room clean everyday, quiet to say that work men outside on thedual carriage way, (good sound proof windows). Travelled on tubes got daily ticket for us all worked out much cheaper than paying for each tube train ride, good value for money. Visited westminsterabbey, st pauls, churchill cabinet rooms, shakespheres globe theatre. Churchill cabinet rooms brilliant, very educational about the war and full of interesting information regarding what happenedunderground in these rooms during the war, brilliant interactive device, kids loved it they had to show me how to work it like an ipad. Enjoyed the tour of shakespheres theatre, found the tour veryinformative, next time we may see a show here. St Pauls brilliant, such history, didnt manage to climb to the very top, spiral stair case, ok if you dont suffer from vertigo. Well worth climbing to thewhispering gallery and the next level, brilliant sites overlooking London. We used the interactive ear device, these were like an ipad, gave up after a short while, much prefer the interactive devices inwestminster abbey much easier to use.   Collapse  Hide
