Had a lovey days horse racing at Wetherby

Went to see family. Saw the sights in York, Ripon and other places in Yorkshire. Only downside was the weather did not stop snowing did not stop us getting around did lots of trips on the bendy buses very easy to do the park and ride. Would recommend others to book with Superbreak. Hotel good, friendly staff, very easy to book this is the second time i have booked with you and it will certainly will not be the last. Good value for money.

The Days Inn is lovely. The rooms were spacious,well appointed and comfortable.The walk in shower was fabulous. All the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. We didn't have the continental breakfast on offer but went next door to the motorway services where the food was of the standard you would expect (extortionate prices and cold by the time we got to the table). The hotel is not as near to the racecourse as we got the impression and you do need to get a taxi as it is not safe to walk.The local council have even provided a free shuttle bus at the end of the race day to take people back into Wetherby as there have been some fatal accidents on the road leading up to it. It also never occurred to us to check but there is no bar at the hotel and it is literally in the middle of nowhere so you can't walk to a pub or anywhere. It is however a short taxi ride into Wetherby where there are lots of places to eat and drink,cost about ?6.50.The New Inn does good tasty food at reasonable prices.

We went on a short break to London with friends, hotel really clean and food good. Easy to travel round London on tubes and foot, plenty to do and see and gave been twice and will keep on going as so much to see and do and very interesting places

We found the hotel a great place to stay with local amenities a short drive. Discovered the park and ride which was a added bonus. Overall a fantastic weekend.

Great day in York at the Railway Museum, traveled back home via Leeds and had a great day at the Armoury.

hotel room good - for me not enough light over one mirror for applying makeup. breakfast - enough choice, but not enough for everyone - always waiting and staff seemed harrassed. location - too far from where we wanted to be really, but all in all good value for money. we were on an early xmas shopping trip and enjoyed our shopping experiences and seeing both York and Harrogate.

Having booked hotel for base to vist York, Harrogate, was central for both.Hotel was very clean,friendly staff, on based on services had all ammenities Required, Must try Chequers inn , just down road , not cheap but the food was outstanding.

2 day visit to Yorkshire as a taster. Will go back for longer. Surprised at how expensive things were particularly car parking.

Dont have a negative thing to say about the hotel. Staff were lovely, rooms really clean and shower room really nice. Much better than previous stays in travelodges.

Hotel room excellent, nicely furnished & clean. The staff were helpful but the only criticism that the location is a 3 mile distance from the local town & restuarant/pubs. Travelled around the area to various places of interest.

My wife booked a short break at this hotel to explore the yorkshire area, as it is ideally placed between york, harrogate and leeds. To be honest; for the price we paid I did not expect too much from the hotel, however it was very modern, clean and better than many more expensive hotels i've stayed at for either business or pleasure! Superbreak deal 2-nights £59.00 total was a fantastic offer, and I would certainley recommend the hotel for anyone wanting a clean, comfortable room and not worried it has no bar and limited breakfast facilities.

We spent 2 nights in the days inn wetherby as it was more cost effective than york itself. It was an easy 30 minute drive into york from the hotel. The hotel itself was basic but clean. Breakfast was a little disappointing (premier inn way better!) - no hot food. Overall if cost is a priority you won't be disappointed but don't expect luxury.

The days inn (wetherby) was in an odd location at first which we did not realise upon booking (at a motorway service station) but once we got inside the hotel was lovely and quiet, stylish and modern and we did not really think about the location after that. We had arranged to go on a segway rally at nidd hall in the morning, hence the reason for our stay. The rally was thoroughly enjoyable and i would recommend it to anyone. In the afternoon we visited the centre of Harrogate which was lovely, it just took a while to find somewhere to park! we went to spice 4 u in wetherby for an evening meal which was really good quality indian food but we found the restaurant a little cramped.

We enjoyed a long walk down the coast around robin hoods bay, wonderful scenery. Also visited fountains abbey & studley royal, beautiful old ruined abbey and marvellous water garden. Also drove through the dales stopping at ripon (the cathedral), skipton (very good castle and town centre) and stump cross caverns. Days inn very new and very well sound-proofed, excellently located to access both the dales and North Yorks moors.

Hotel location was very good as central to towns, York, Harrogate and attractions, even though hotel was at the motorway services we could not hear the motorway traffic so had a very good nights sleep.

Hotel good, clean and value for money, however had no bar & restaurant attached, had to travel to nearest town which brought the price up using taxis. The hotel had a free shuttle bus, which was a great extra, pity it did not run at night to take people to near village.

My partner and I travelled up the A1 from Northamptonshire to York and had a surprisingly trouble free journey. The hotel was so easy to find being directly by the A1. On checking into our room I was very pleased. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Thought the noise from the A1 would be a problem but couldn't hear any traffic at all. Can't say the same for other guests though. Our room was ground floor and unfortunately we could hear constant foot falls from other residents throughout the night. The interior sound proofing could do with being sorted if possible. The continental breakfast was very pleasant and had a good selection. Other than being a bit noisey we couldn't fault the hotel. Our weekend was to be spent discovering York and we found the best way to do this was to park the car at the nearest "park and ride" and travel in by bus and then use the old fashion method of using our feet to walk around the city. What a wonderful place. Lots to see and do, plenty of shops for my partner to explore (and me if i'm honest). Will definately go back at some point in the near future as we couldn't see and do everything in the 2 days we had.

Hotel was very comfortable and well located for access to local areas, such as York and Harrogate. The "two nights for one" offer represented great value for money. Tips on getting around - in the quiet winter months (can't comment on saturdays in july!) Ignore the exhortation to use the park and ride. Instead, drive into York and either use the medium stay car parking (up to 2 hours) or long stay car parks - both expensive but definitely worth it. What did we do on our break? - it was all about chilling out, shopping, eating, drinking and sleeping. Great!.

Not really expecting the hotel to be on the motorway services, but was actually fine. Hotel new and clean and reasonably priced.

York castle museum has varied no of attractions for all ages, the queues at the gate are dealt with quickly and it evens out once inside. We travelled across Yorkshire ofr a trip to the deep in Hull, the entrance was unorganised with no proper queueing system which led to lots of irate guests, once in..Fantastic!.

Nice hotel poor position, would also be better with english breakfast not continental.

Days Inn Wetherby was ideally situated for visiting both towns. The hotel is new, very clean and comfortable and staff were helpful. The continental breakfast surpassed expectations. It was easy to get to Harrogate and we used park and ride for York. Had evening meals in pub and italian restaurant in Wetherby - both good.

Wetherby and york were brilliant. Hotel was lovely. Slight dispute with a member of their staff, which they have apologised for. Overall, I would do the whole weekend again!.

Used the park & ride to get into york, very easy and good value. Took bus tour to get to know the history and where attractions were. Ticket was valid for 48 hours. There is so much to see in york you really need a week or two! The attractions are a little expensive as are food & drinks so eat outside.

Days inn looks brand new, very clean, helpful staff. Central location for visiting york, harrogate and leeds. Only downside is the location means the traffic goes all day and most of the night, so wear earplugs to bed if you're a light sleeper.

Fantastic hotel. Being a budget hotel was expecting anything to grand but got a great surprise. Large room, well decorated,comfy bed and a bathroom to die for.

We had a lovely weekend in York lots to do and eat.

Yorkshire is a great place to visit. Two days was not enough for all the things to do. The days inn at wetherby was very convenient, attractive, clean, and comfortable.

We stayed at the days inn at Wetherby and the hotel was very clean and the bed was comfy, only dissapointment was there was no bar. Would stay again no complaints and wet room was lovely.

The days inn ideally suited just off the motorway, with every facility one needs on the same site. We visited the pretty nearby town of wetherby, beautifuuly be-decked with flowers, everything was better than i had expected, i just loved the variety of foods at breakfast, equal to anything I have had on my travels to many far-flung places.

Very good day out, good shopping center, plenty to see and do.

The hotel was very clean and staff very nice. There is an ice machine and glasses and also a microwave for use if you wanted to buy from m and s next door as the hotel only does breakfast. This was really handy as it meant we could have a nice healthy meal and drink our own wine and relax for the next days outing. Will use this hotel again as it was so easy to find and central for many locations.

Very clean an a great location for getting around, value for money.

York is a lovely city full of history and old buildings. I found it absorbing but would have been better over 2 days rather than the one i spent there.The hotel was located on the a1(m) services near wetherby and looked fairly new. Normally using travelodges i found days hotel similar but they seemed to go the extra mile with small things which travelodge don't. The bathroom/wetroom had a vary spacious shower and the staff were friendly and helpful. The accomodation was located about 10 miles from harrogate which i thought was a claen interesting and lovely town and about 20 miles from york and about the same distance from leeds if you are interested in shopping.

Spent 2 nights over easter at days inn wetherby. The hotel is on wetherby services & is a short drive from wetherby, harrogate & york. The rooms are clean and a reasonable size with comfortable bed & plenty of storage space. The ensuite was a very nice wet room. Breakfast buffet included hot & cold choices with enough of everything & replenished regularly. This weekend was a special offer from Superbreak of 2 nights for the price of one & the whole weekend at days inn was a bargain. Well done superbreak. The staff in the hotel were efficient, polite, helpful and hard working.

Hotel was excellent. Very good value. We had a two nights for one deal. We rated the accomodation as probably the best of its type we had stayed in over many years. Would definately recommend it and hope to return soon. Spent 4 hours at the york railway museum. Just had to leave as the museum was closing but didn't manage to see all the areas as it's huge.

We were very impressed with wetherby and harrogate and york. Great days out with lots to do and see. Bus tour of york was brilliant, very informative. Wish we could have stayed longer - means we have to come back again!.

Had a lovely time in york, atmosphere fantastic, also visited harrogate, loved the shops and of course it would of been rude not to buy anything!!. Days inn was great and conveniant as a stopover, the wet room was lovely and overall a really clean, tidy and modern place, price was brilliant too.

Enjoyed a fabulous two night break at days inn wetherby, easy access to york, harrogate and wetherby. Very comfortable room, friendly helpful staff at a very good price. What more could you ask for, will definitely visit again.

York is most definetly worth a visit.

We enjoyed the 2 nights for 1 offer at days inn it is perfect location for best shopping at york designer outlet and york city. Both days were sunny so we enjoyed going to york castle area, sitting outside was perfect but the crowed around the river added to excitements. So it is perfect 2 nights delight.

As 2 single travellers we were extremely impressed with the hotel. We were both in double rooms which makes a pleasant change from "cupboards" hotel was clean and really quiet and easily accessible to where ever we wished to travel.

For a service station hotel, i was expecting something pretty poor, but it was clean, well-decorated, quite (despite being right on the edge of the motorway) and the staff were really friendly. Okay, the breakfast was a little basic, but it did the job.

Great stay in hotel clean tidy and very comfy. York is a superb place to visit.

Perfect location for touring the surrounding area. 20 minutes drive to designer shopping outlet just outside York. Good day out. Harrogate and Wetherby hve something to offer for everyone. Hotel was excellent. Very quiet considering the location. Bed very comfortable and excellent walk in shower. Would definately return.

It was our grandsons 15th birthday treat,we left canterbury late friday night arriving in york at about 06.00 sat morn as we could not get into the hotel till 14.00 so we went into york had a look round the railway museum then made our way to days inn on arriving first impressions first class walked into the foyer and was greeted very professionally and sincerely made to feel very welcome went to room and was very impressed even the grandson was impressed.All in all a first class and memorable weekend.

Me and my wife were travelling to Newcastle on the A1 and we stay here to rest up before continuing. We had a great sleep and a very nice breakfast and the place is very modern with nice bathroom and bedroom, clean and very comfortable. I would recommend staying here. Although it can be hard to find as the tom tom takes you around the houses. If going here just go to the service station and the hotel is right at the service station.

It may not be the ritz but it its cheap, clean and convenient and the staff are helpful. The breakfast options aren't extensive but you can have a filling meal at a very reasonable price, especially if booked in advance online- it cost me £5 for 2 days. Overall its a decent cheap hotel to stay in for a short break.

The Day's Inn was excellent. Not only is it new and spotlessly clean, the staff are pleasant and helpful and the location is great for getting in and out of York. Excellent value for money! The city itself was charming and the people incredibly friendly. Price wise, it's average for eating out and for entrance to attractions. Only advice is, use the park and ride. It's not particularly difficult to park in York but it costs £12.00 for 5 hours parking if you're a non-resident. The Three Tuns pub is an absolute gem! their fresh home made burgers are juicy and scrumptious, not to mention reasonably priced. It's a real oldy-world pub, perfect if you're travelling from abroad and fancy a taste of Old England. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.

We had a good time at the races and travelling around the countryside very clean and good little towns like Skipton.

My son & I had a great holiday in Yorkshire. We stayed at the Days Inn at Wetherby - very handy as a base for touring about. Hotel was good, although the room was a bit on the hot side for sleeping at night. We have now done York to death, visiting 4 times to do all we wanted. We found the people very friendly and helpful.

The staff at Days Inn Wetherby made us very welcome when we arrived, and we parked our dog trailer in a quiet part of the car park. The room was very clean, although the bathroomm was a bit chilly, the staff seemed genuinely interested in why we were visiting, and asked all about the dogs. Obviously the site is still being developed outside, and it would be great to have a fenced area where the dogs can run without worrying about the traffic in the main area. The views around Woodhall were splendid - we didn't sadly have time to look around Wetherby as much as we would have liked, but we will be back!.

We went to York for a relaxing break, and indeed it was. The room was great, staff where friendly. The places we visited where great. So all in all we had a great break.

We had a happy day at the armoury, and shopping in Leeds. The hotel was comfortable and spotless, the only fault was a failure to replenish the hospitality tray after the first night.

We stayed at this hotel because the price was cheap, as well as being convenient for York. The rooms were excellent, as were the staff. We did not have the breakfast. We opted for an early start, and had breakfast at Debenhams in york (10 items for £3.25!). We had intended to park in York, but when we discovered the park & ride we thought we'd give it a go. It was open until 8.30 pm, and cost us £4.20 return for 2 adults and a child. I would stay at this hotel again.

Have stopped here before. Excellent service good clean room will be back again when in the area.
