Days Hotel Manchester City Reviews (Manchester)

Hotel was lovely. Unfortunately it overlooks student accommodation who decided it was great fun to party all night and I got very little sleep. I was asked at reception if I'd slept to which I told them of my lack of sleep. They said I should have rang reception which didn't really help. The hotel was very noisy and you can hear toilets flushing and doors slamming. Don't think I'd recommend the hotel. The breakfast was lovely

Hotel is ideal situated for all things Manchester....Staff helpful and friendly without being to 'in your face'. Train station is just a few mins walk away. Concert at the academy is a great music venue.

Hotel was only a short walk from the train station, although we did have to call the hotel reception for directions. Room was quite small but had everything you needed in it. Very clean and seemed to be recently refurbished. Breakfast was great.

The days hotel would be better described as a wing of the university student accomodation/conference centre rather than a city hotel. The "superior twin" (room 415) although clean, was a little "tired" with faded decor and the usual mouldy bits and loose shower fitting in the bathroom. There was plenty of hot water. I would hate to think what the ordinary class of room was like! the view from the tiny window was onto a courtyard entrance to student accomodation. In the evening you could see students in their rooms! However the breakfasts were very acceptable, with excellent staff. We strolled from our hotel through the "student quarter" the "gay quarter" the chinese quarter and throuh town with its many homeless selling the big issue. I must say they were very polite. The event at the men arena was excellent. All the celebs doing their stuff. Very entertaining. Good seats with a good view.
