CSR Policy - Local Community & Good Causes

- Work with local schools
- Responsible Tourism
- Charity events
We are working with a number of schools and colleges at various levels to provide workplace visits and assist with Business Studies and Leisure & Tourism coursework. We enhance this further from time to time by taking undergraduates for their work placement year.
Our Responsible Tourism Policy has been developed with the aim of maximising the benefits and minimizing the negative effect of tourism locally.
In 2007 we set up a relationship with the Family Holiday Association, an organisation who work to promote the quality of family life for those who experience disadvantage, through the provision of holidays and other recreational activities. It is our aim to ensure that we facilitate a few short breaks each year for deserving families.
We continue to participate in local charity events. We have regular ‘dress down days’ which raise money for local charities, plus we also support national appeals such as Jeans for Genes, Children in Need and Comic Relief. Collectively we raise over £12,000 per annum for good causes.
We supported a special performance of the West End show Oliver! on 20th December 2008, with a donation from each sale going towards the wildlife charity Aspinall Foundation.
