Great Weekend in London

out of 5The hotel is ideally situated for Covent Garden. All of the facilities, shops and attractions of London are walkable distance so saving on cab fares and having to use the tube. The hotel is modern, clean and the staff are helpful. We visited the Royal Opera House to see the Nutcracker which was stunning. Well worth a visit ! Lots to do on a two day/one night stay.

out of 5Travelodge at Covent Garden, basic but clean and very conveniently situated. In retrospect would have booked room only and had breakfast in one of many small cafes nearby (Valeries?) Bus from Kingsway direct to London Bridge to Shard. Delicious coffee (Monmouth Coffee) at Absolutely Starving in Tooley Street. Sadly visability poor from top of Shard, but the experience was still interesting, very well organised and we had free return vouchers for a year to compensate for the lack of view. Very reasonable considering weather is beyond their control.Would do the whole trip again!....and again !

out of 5The Strand Palace Hotel has been smartened up a lot in the last few years. The rooms are better and the double glazing helps reduce the noise of sirens. This busy hotel is in a supeb position for Covent Garden, theatres and good eating places.The Mask Bar is a good place to relax after a hard day sightseeing.

out of 5When to see Les Miserables as a birthday present, which was brilliant.Hotel was great, just across the road from the theater,A wonderful and memorable weekend, could not have been better...
