First Time in the Channel Islands

Arrived in St Helier by air from Birmingham - bus from airport to St Helier and then walked to Norfolk Lodge Hotel. A warm and friendly welcome set the tome for our four night stay. Spent the first day exploring St Helier and on the second day bought ourselves 3-day passes for the buses - service excellent! We spent the next three days exploring the island - Durrel and the War Tunnels especially memorable. Then we crossed to Guernsey on the high speed ferry - special thanks to the Norfolk Lodge who stored one of our cases for us! Guernsey is a remarkable place. We hired a car (KA) for the three days and really enjoyed the drivng on the island (top speed 35mph and courteous drivers!). Stayed at the Green Acres Hotel. Had to rearrange return to Jersey - high speed ferry punctured! Back instead on the slow ferry - very leisurely. One mere night at Norfolk Lodge then home. Both hotels were excellent, with friendly, efficient and caring service.

Jersery - Such A Delightful Place

Well, hired a car, funny really seeing as Jersey is so small you can walk around it. Went to Jersey Zoo which is small but very good, the kids loved it and I was happy as it was educational and value for money. Went to Amaizin Maize Adventure Park - what a wonderful experience, it was safe & the staff were so friendly. The activities were for all ages even my 2 year got to do everything which is unusual, my 5 year never got bored on the Go-karts. Again such great value for money. Overall, Jersey is such a delightful, laid back place and St Helier was perfect for us to stay, busy, varied and good value for money.
