in a nutshell it was just a get away break without the kids, to do nothing. apart from the obvious shopping in St Helier, most of the time was spent at the hotel. I would recommend the hotel to anyone, as it caters for your every need, and the staff were excellent

we went on this weekend because the festival of motoring was on, which was excellent. big vern's restaurant at St Ouen's bay is an excellent restaurant, food cooked to perfection. St Brelades bay was the best beach on the island.

Hired a car best way to travel in Jersey, as Island is so small you don't use up too much petrol. Good idea to buy parking vouchers from hotel or car hire place. All shops are closed on sundays, so make sure you get your shopping done on another day.

Short Break in Guernsey

We drove all round the island in a day. Driving speeds are slow and many roads are narrow with lots of walkers. Lovely beaches and walks all over the island. Island of Herm is an excellent day out. WE plan to go to Sark for a day next time we visit Guernsey.

First two days hired bikes, lovely weather and follwed mostly the coastal route and cycle network across Jersey third day took the link bus , which is a good way to see the islands attractions on hop on hop off basis
