out of 5The real Edinburgh is not just Rose Street. Whatever the reason for your visit, if you require good food without paying a fortune, I recommend breakfast and/ or lunch at the Standing Order which has an entrance off Rose Street and Goerge Street. This old bank building is comfortable and spacious offering excellent value. For a special evening meal, try Cafe Marlayne, off the Royal Mile this is an atmospheric french restaurant serving excellent food at reasonable prices. Situated in old fishmarket place, booking is recommended. If travelling by train consider going 1st class. It is really worth paying extra.

out of 5after reading the reviews on tailors hall i wasnt sure what to expect. the place was a bit loud but it was the final of the six nations and it didnt bother me at all. I still had a great nights sleep and the place has a great atmosphere.

out of 5Very good location in centre of town. If you don't mind not getting to sleep until after 3a.m. then this is the place for you! If you like to be able to sleep without being disturbed by the courtyard noise or the people walking around all night in the room above then DON'T go there! Hotel needs some TLC. Food good with OK beers!Edinburgh Fringe - great! Lots to see and do and lots of free shows alongside all the regulars and well known celebs.Not to be missed if you can afford it.Saw 18 fringe shows in 3 days all good
