out of 5The Beverley Arms Hotel was a nice base for our stay, only spoiled by the lack of good customer service.Food was good and room ok, if a bit tired looking.Beverley has plenty of character and there are restaurants of all types from friendly pubs to the more traditional cafes,there is even a very good Tapas bar where we enjoyed an evening of jazz music.

out of 5The Beverley Arms Hotel was lovely on the outside and smart inside. The room was a bit shabby, but comfortable (especially after the lights had been fixed!). Staff were friendly and food was OK for dinner.Beverley itself is wonderful! Full of mediaeval buildings and even the new ones are sympathetic to the rest of the town. The pedestrianisation was great, so we could wander around safely admiring it all. A lovely station, too. The Minster and St Mary's really take the cake for architectural design and execution. Loads of good shops and cafes offering food for special diets (coeliacs take note!). A great time.
