London theatre break

Stay Date: 30/10/15, a customer aged 45-64 from Bridgwater who stayed at 3* Tavistock Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

The downstairs areas were in good condition and well decorated, the corridors and bedroom doors on the 5th floor were very shabby, the room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Shower not good (operated See More  Read more information from bath taps, shower head fixed), only soap provided - no shower gel etc. The worst part of the stay was being kept awake half the night by loud music which I was told was coming from the basementwhich we could hear on the 5th floor.   Collapse  Hide

Hotel was very well located great for getting to the tube at Russell Square which is 5 mins walk. The rooms could do with updating quite a bit i.e. new windows and rooms could be a bit cleaner. See More  Read more information Had Wi-Fi in the whole of the hotel but in some areas it was less good.   Collapse  Hide

Lovely location, shabby hotel.

Stay Date: 21/11/15, a customer aged 25-44 who stayed at 3* President Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

The hotel was in a great location only around a minutes walk to Russell Square underground station and you pass a nice little pub. The staff throughout the hotel were all very friendly except one See More  Read more information extremely rude bartender who is obviously in the wrong job! The hotel and room itself seemed clean but very shabby, definitely in need of decorating. The room was a good size and I slept well but waswoken early by very loud guests and members of staff talking about a flooded room and then using a machine probably twice as loud as a Hoover to suck up the water! We had to queue for about 10 minutesfor breakfast because it was so busy but I think this worked to our advantage as it was buffet style meaning everything was fresh and still hot. Overall I thought the hotel was in a great location butcould use some work.   Collapse  Hide

Tiring break in London

Stay Date: 28/11/15, a customer aged 45-64 from Sutton On Derwent who stayed at 3* Tavistock Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

An eagerly awaited theatre break in London was unfortunately spoilt by lack of sleep at The Tavistock Hotel in London due to the Nightclub in their basement which carries on with annoyingly loud See More  Read more information music until 3am. Unfortunately there was no mention of this on either the hotel's or SuperBreak's websites. Had there been, we would have avoided it.   Collapse  Hide
