Wanted to see some places never before visited - one of these was John Wesley's house in City Road (described by someone in Africa as the highlight of his visit to England)- very inspiring- See More  Read more information particularly going into the room where he used to visit for prayer at 4 o'clock every morning. Superbreak to London

Stay Date: 22/06/09, a customer who stayed at 3* Royal National Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

Myself and daughter in law and her sister in law visited London for few days. Hotel very central for getting around. No air conditioning so had to leave window open all night so it was very noisy See More  Read more information from traffic. Hotel over-run with ignorant school children. only had breakfast at hotel food ok but was more like a staff canteen than a restaurant. School children pushing in queues forfood/drink.Complimentary meal first night had to be taken at another hotel. Why couldn't we dine where we stayed? Clean towels not left in room one day so had to request some, the member of staff who brought themdidn't appear to believe that we hadn't got any till we ask her to come in and check. Hotel close to an underground station so easy to get around. Covent Garden very good for dining/drinking. Theatreshave good range of shows, all easy to get to. Memorable time was drinking champagne cocktails in Harvey Nichols in the afternoon - lovely - had to be done. Superbreak very good, will do it again.   Collapse  Hide

Day 2 got a train and headed to Convent Garden and watched some of the free shows, also watched some free Opera, look in the many shops, then it was time to go to a Theatre, we choose a showcalled Avenue Q, which is very good but not suitable for children.
