Close to the Stars in London

Stay Date: 02/05/13, a customer aged 45-64 from Alston who stayed at 3* Royal National Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

Watching from the sidelines at the premiere event of Star Trek into Darkness was fantastic. Seeing the preparation and waiting patiently for the stars to arrive - Benedict Cumberbatch and Chris Pine See More  Read more information especially, and close enough to touch them! After a short "run" to see Les Miserables, then the next to the wonderful world of Hogwarts and Harry Potter. Amazing to find out how some of the effectswere done and the detail and number of people involved with the films was unbelievable. The Royal National Hotel was situated so close to the underground that getting around was made so easy with agood map and the use of an Oyster Card which allowed to top up at machines rather than standing in queues for tickets. The weather was wonderful - a real bonus.   Collapse  Hide

A Short Break in London with an Historical Theme The Tavistock Hotel is a friendly, convenient base for visiting all the Bloomsbury attractions like the British Museum. It is within easy reach of See More  Read more information the main railway stations but is also in a quiet location overlooking an attractive square I recommend a trip to Greenwich for a day out. London Break

Stay Date: 07/05/13, a customer aged 45-64 from Tregaron who stayed at 3* Royal National Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

The hotel room was basic but clean. The breakfast very good value and of a good standard - thick bacon well cooked. The restaurant where breakfast was served (Windsor Room) was very crowded and on See More  Read more information our last morning ( Saturday) there was a queue to get in and at one point there was a guest behind our table eating from the tray on her knees as there was no room at a table. The hotel was located ina nice area within walking distance of the BM and the very pleasant Russell and Tavistock Squares. We recommend the Atrium for a coffee or cocktails with live piano music. Very welcoming and pleasant.   Collapse  Hide
