London Musical Break

Stay Date: 19/02/13, a customer aged 25-44 from Preston who stayed at 3* Royal National Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

After an easy booking system with Superbreak, our family of five had an affordable trip. We enjoyed our train travel which was made easy with anytime rail tickets on a fast virgin train. The hotel See More  Read more information was basic but clean and everything we needed. The cleaning staff were rude and impatient as they entered our room several times on the morning of departure yet the room was ours until 11am. Thebreakfast was included but the waiting on staff seemed grumpy and unable to clear tables at one end of the restaurant resulting in customers piling dirty trays and plates in towers on tables, chairs and eventhe floor! The musical Shrek was good value as we chose cheaper seats(back row on the balcony) but it allowed us to experience the show with a good view from above. We would not recommend the opentop bus tours as it took all day, due to conjestion, it would have been quicker to walk, and if you got off the bus it was a long 20-30 minute wait for the next one! Which prehaps felt worse due tothe freezing weather. Although the drivers were friendly, cheerful and helpful and the audio tour was informative and enjoyable. Overall, a good first trip to London which didn't break the bank.   Collapse  Hide
