Cold Comfort at the Norbreck Castle

out of 5My partner and 77 year old father stayed at the Norbeck Castle Hotel Blackpool for 2 nights B and B. The first impression of the hotel was that was in need of a good clean. The windows in our room were dirty and the view was of haulage hangers. On both nights the police were called to attend some drunks and and woke us up. The hotel on the second night was freezing even in the bar and cabaret room i had to put coats over my father to keep him warm he has not been well since we arrived home.considering the hotel was full of senior citizens the very least the hotel should have had adequately heated. The food was good and the staff were exceptional. In my opinion the management were to blame and not the staff. Overall the location and friendliness was very good.

out of 53 adults were put in a twin room with a small single foam Chair which converts into a single bed, it was like sleeping on the floor, had no room at all. When the guest bed was folded out, we had to step over him when we needed to go to the toilet, could not open the wardrobe door, could not open the bedroom door, could not use the wash basin which was in the room. Had to turn One of the mattresses over due to the springs leaving marks in my husbands back.I politely asked one member of the staff if my husband and son have cereal around 8 am on Sunday morning due to them running in the Blackpool marathon, they were due to run around 9.30am he refused stating that the cook only arrives around 8.30, I paid for full breakfasts for all the 5 of us for the 2 night stay so I thought for a small favor of cereal would not be a problem.
