Night in Warminster

Stay Date: 16/02/14, a customer aged 45-64 from Alderholt who stayed at 4* Bishopstrow House Hotel & Spa in Warminster wrote this review.

Stayed for one night over the weekend. Room was nicely decorated but on the small side and up in the eaves and far too hot. The bathroom shower had a mind of its own due to the low water pressure See More  Read more information and one minute would work and the next not. The water temperature fluctuated also. Hotel generally was very nice although needs a good makeover if you take into account the cost of the rooms. Thegrounds also needed a tidy up. The spa was nice but the steam rooms and pool are in completely separate areas. The outside pool was open but was very dirty and should have been closed. Breakfast consistedof cereals, fresh fruit, pastries and yoghurt with a choice of a cooked breakfast too. Overall breakfast was good but on the small side. Stay on the whole was ok but definitely didnt have the wowfactor that we had expected.   Collapse  Hide

A little disappointing

Stay Date: 16/03/16, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 4* Homewood Park Hotel & Spa in Bath wrote this review.

First impressions were very favourable: lovely check-in lady, imposing and elegant main building. But disappointing from then on. My 'upgrade' room was a short walk from the main building along an See More  Read more information unlit part of main drive then up fifty steps into a rather worn annex. The room was adequate - good bath and comfortable bed, but no Wi-Fi ("sorry, sir, the signal is a little weak over there"), nomini-bar and some hotel literature missing. My burger in the Eden Bar was very good, but choice of beer very limited and no nuts etc. Breakfast was adequate but not what one might have expected at a fourstar hotel. The pool and gym were great but the building is unimpressive and a little tired.   Collapse  Hide
