Fabulous stay at The Marine Hotel. Great service and great weather! Lovely breakfast with Ellie looking after us, a delight even when they were fully booked. Diners beware of Scotts at The Marina - despite reservation, asked to leave our table before we were finished - not because we were late - they were slow - spoiled evening out. Great hotel, wonderful staff, great buffet breakfast. We ate dinner in the restaurant on our first night, and I would recommend it. Our room was excellent. There is a need to update the hotel See More  Read more information website, which says it has a swimming pool and spa, but these are now closed down. A great pity in my opinion. Hotel was excellent, staff couldn't have been more helpful, bedroom was perfect and meals were excellent. This is a nice hotel on the outskirts of Troon. It overlooks the sea and one of the golf courses so would be an excellent base if the golf was the reason for your visit.
