Short Break in Vienna

A customer from Co Dublin who stayed at 4* Mercure Imlauer Wien in Vienna wrote this review.

We arrived c. 1200 in the hotel very convenient to the Airport (20' Bus) and the Vienna City Centre (15' walk). It is enough to walk, walk and walk Vienna but a good idea is to use the tram routes 1 or 2 which circles the centre continually - ideal for sightseeing. Good coffee is everywhere and passers by are surprisingly helpful. Less than 24 hours later we were very fulfilled. The hotel was clean , confomfortable, friendly convenient and the breakfast was a grazer's paradise!

Short Break in Salzburg

A customer from Coventry who stayed at 4* Austrotel Salzburg in Salzburg wrote this review.

M32 for spectacular views from the terrace. Try the club sandwich (enough for 2 to share!). If staying more than 2 days then taking the postbus or train to one of the lakes in the nearby Tyrol is a great excursion. In early season the cable cars take you above the snow line. Spectacular views and memorable photos. The Mirabell gardens are a quiet and picturesque place to spend an hour and rest weary feet.

Short Break to Remember in Salzburg

A customer from Manchester who stayed at 4* Markus Sittikus in Salzburg wrote this review.

Salzburg is fantastic place to stay for a few days. The architecture is breathtaking, the fortress is worth going up on the fenicular railway for the experience and also enjoy a meal on the top and take in the views of the alps which are stunning. People very polite and friendly, multitude of cultures, vaiety of food. beer reasonably priced. Buses run very regular and are cheap. Clean city. Well worth a visit. I stayed at he Markus Sittikus hotel in the centre of Salzburg and found it an excellent play to stay, clean, friendly, good breakfast, peaceful, free use of internet, very helpful staff, good command if English. Only 11 euro's from aiport to hotel. Perfect short break. highly recommended.

A Great Weekend in Vienna

A customer from Lancaster who stayed at 4* Mercure Imlauer Wien in Vienna wrote this review.

The most memorable part of our short break was a visit to the Opera House to see the Barber of Seville. In Vienna you don't have to pay a fortune to see a good opera. 500 tickets are reserved for sale on the day of the opera on a first come first served basis. You have to queue, which is a lot of fun since everyone is friendly and likes to chat. Price for a place EUR 3,50. You start queueing around 4pm and the whole process follows a strict traditional code. The opera was amazing and I recommend it to anyone.
