York's newest visitor attraction is to everyone's taste celebrating York's chocolate and confectionery heritage. Covering three storeys and located between the world famous Shambles and York Minster, you will experience the story of York's confectionery trading and manufacturing past, bringing the story up to date and making sure that you interact with chocolate!
Take a mouth-watering journey through the story of chocolate and confectionery in York. See chocolate come to life, from its roots in the Central American rainforests to our present love affair with all things sweet. Hear generations of chocolate secrets from the founding families of chocolate and from the people of York. Explore from the story from the bean to the bar, how ingredients are roasted, crushed, mixed and moulded to make chocolate so perfect.
