Beautiful Guernsey is one of the Channel Islands off the Normandy coast in the English Channel. It has a wonderful natural environment with 100 miles of coastline and wooded valleys. There is a wide selection of museums and attractions and daily connections to the local Islands of Alderney, Herm and Sark.

Bus Trips Around The Island

out of 5Guernsey has a good network of buses that can take visitors all around the island at little cost. An 'osmer' card can be purchased from the bus station which provides for mutiple journeys across the island. One card can be used by more than one person, and a single journey can work out for as little as 50 pence. The number 7 bus is excellent for sight seeing as it travels around the coastline of guenrsey. This useful bus also calls into the airport forecourt and is a reliable and reasonably frequent bus.

out of 5We spent a wonderful few days at the st pierre park hotel in guernsey to celebrate our golden wedding. The hotel is first class and the grounds and golf course superb. We stayed b&b and found the breakfasts very good, well cooked and fresh. We spent the days travelling around the island enjoying the scenery. I think that a car is essential for a holiday on guernsey. But do remember to buy a parking disk from a newsagent. Parking is free but you must display a disk or face a hefty fine. A disk cost £2 and lasts for ever.
