Eight Acres Hotel Reviews (Elgin)

From the outside the hotel looks very 70's, but once inside it was lovely. The room was big enough for the weekend, the spa was good and the food at dinner was a bonus, hats off to the chef !the breakfast was also a treat. I would recommend that they put a bit of music on, in the restaurant and the lower bar area as it lacked atomosphere and you felt you had to whisper. Also turn the tv off in the bar, if i go away for the weekend it's to get away from the tv and chat, not watching couples watching tv and not talking, otherwise a great hotel.

We had a loveley break November was a good month to go the autumnal colours were superb. The people are friendly and the various distilleries and breweries were fun to visit as we travelled by train. I would definately book with Superbreak again.

The hotel, staff, meals, leisure facilities all most enjoyable. No complaints at all. Elgin and surrounding coastal villages were all worth a visit. Impressed by the cleanliness and peacefulness.

The hotel is rather tired, but this is made up for by friendly and helpful staff and first class food. Very clean. Very good value.

Stayed at the hotel as a treat while checking out renovation progress on home on Lossiemouth. Was a welcome retreat and food was enjoyable bonus. Room and service for cost paid were excellent value.

Very helpful staff, food was very good. Only concern was electric heating in rooms, made it very dry and stuffy. Otherwise a pleasant time.

This was a really nice hotel to spend my one night whilst passing through the area on business. The roon was very comfortable and quiet, with good facilities and loads of piping hot water. The bed was very comfy, too. The evening meal, which was included in the price, was excellent and was served promptly. Breakfast was excellent. There was free wi-fi, which came in handy as well. All in all, i enjoyed my overnight stay. Oh, and so did my dog - the hotel is pooch friendly!.

Good staff and food. Problem with the plumbing on the second mornng, but not the staffs fault. Overall a comfy stay.

We visited Brodie Castle which was really interesting. We also visited Glenfiddich distillary which was also interesting.

Good 3* accomodation, very good Breakfast and Dinner (included in price). Restaurant staff were excellent the only downside was a German/Austrian coach party who created more than their fair share of noise both at dinner and breakfast. (Their Guide thought it was acceptable to give instructions to the group by making a public announcement to the whole dining room). The pool area of the hotel was "tired" and perhaps a few misty double glazed windows could be replaced - but great value. The staff were excellent and deserve praise.

The Eight Acres was a nice hotel and the food was good, and the shower was excellent the only bad point was the heat in the room, it was very very hot when we arrived however it was a very sunny day and the room did cool down later in the evening and so we were able to sleep fine.

Great Stay at hotel, used leisure facilities for swimming. Spent 5 hours visiting Fort George short trip in car, excellent value

Staff were excellent as was the food, single room was a bit cramped, sorry to say TV pictures in room were abysmal. Apart from that a very nice hotel, get that glitch sorted and it'll be top notch, new decor downstairs is nice too.
