out of 5Went to cardiff for anniversary/birthday and requested a qiet room. Paid for an updrade then had to wait around for the room to be ready. When we went to room it was on the main road and very busy. It was very cold and heating switched off. Got under the duvet for warmth. Complained to reception and they said we could have our original room. It was an attic room with dorma windows that did not open so room very stuffy and airless. The general air of hotel is very tired but it has a great location opposite castle and easy walking distance to shopping area. Mermaid quay well worth a visit and the tour bus is a must. Great shopping. Breakfast was good.

out of 5Lovely week-end but would not have paid full price for this hotel as the most impressive bit is the reception and chandeliers. The bedrooms are worn and tatty and could do with redecorating!!.
Short Break In Cardiff
A customer who stayed at 3* Legacy Cardiff International Hotel in Cardiff wrote this review.
Stay Date: 19/05/12
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5The room this time smelt of damp. There was no cot in the room after I phoned two days before asking to make sure there was. But as soon as i asked a member of staff it was there. The room we had this time was smaller than the one we had the first time me and my partner came last time. But really enjoyed our stay as we got to see family again.

out of 5We used the break to meet up with another family. Arrived lunchtime, visited the castle in the afternoon. That is lovely, lots to do, well worth a visit. The following day we visited the museum of welsh life which is about 5 miles out of the city. Excellent for children as completely car free once you are inside. And it's free! just a small parking charge! they have brought lots of different houses, shops and other buildings from across the ages all together in one place -fascinating! then before we left on the final day it had to be shopping! the traffic system in cardiff is frankly a nightmare! We had no satnav and relied on the written instructions from the hotel. They are accurate but sometimes it's hard to tell which left or right turn you should take due to the extremely large number of traffic lights, but the hotel is great! Very central - right in the middle of all the shops and also easy to walk to lots of the attractions. John lewis is next door and carluccios is across the street! The breakfast was fine and the kids loved the pool and the spa!.
