out of 5the hotel on arrival looked impressive, but the room 320 was less so - 2 lights didnt work (one on the dresser and one by the bed), the bathroom window is overlooked and not frosted, the curtains in the bathroom were not attached properly so when you drew them they came away from the sides and left gaps and you had to have them drawn all the time if you didnt want people being able to see in from opposite building. there was also some kind of generator or noise all night long, and the pillows were hard. saying that, the restaurant staff were lovely and couldnt have been friendlier or more helpful when we had to have a very early breakfast in order to catch a train...and the castle, which is just opposite the hotel (great location for shops and castle) was amazing. perhaps the other rooms in the hotel (when you dont opt for a 'quiet' room!) may be more impressive, but 320 definitely wasnt up to scratch. all in all, we didnt have much sleep and went home more tired than we arrived.

out of 5We all throughly enjoyed our three day (two night stay) at the Novotel Hotel as well as exploring the city via sightseeing bus tour (hop/hopoff) ,shopping and eating out .The services and facilities at the hotel were excellent ie room ,swimming pool,sauna,steam room and the breakfast was superb .The staff were very cordial and helpful towards our needs .We would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel,the train service was very good and on time.
